Ring joint gaskets (RTJ) are designed for high pressures and depending on the profile of the ring they are able to seal up the working pressure up to 1500 bar and temperatures up to 1000 °C.
Due to a small contact/sealing surface (metal/metal) and a suitable composition of materials, the contact surfaces of the flange together with the correct choice of the gasket material the ring joint gaskets provide an excellent tightness of the joints.
Ring joint gaskets are offered in two basic profiles: oval - KT 21-R, or octagonal - KT 31-R.
For higher pressures from 700 to 1500 bar, we recommend applying types KT 51-RX and KT 61-BX.
To ensure a good sealing effect of the ring joint gaskets it is necessary to pay close attention to the surface treatment at the point of the contact of the ring and the contact surface of the flange.
In case of leaks and the impossibility to seal up the flange joint using RTJ we can offer a solution by means of the VCS system (Very Critical Services).
